Republican Sen. Thomas in "serious condition"

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican Sen. Craig Thomas
(news, bio, voting record) of Wyoming, who has been
battling leukemia for months, was hospitalized in
"serious condition" on Monday, his family said.
"At this difficult time, all we can do is give him as
much love and support as possible," Susan Thomas, the
74-year-old senator's wife, said in a statement issued
by his office.
Thomas, in his third, six-year Senate term, was
diagnosed with leukemia last year. Doctors have been
administering a second round of chemotherapy at the
