My pool manager got upset last year with the way we "took advantage" of
upset and bonus scoring. This year the only points we can get are seeds
and round winners. My problem is that the points for round winners this
year (2007) will be: 10,20,40,80,120, and 200. Can youn modify yur drop
down boxes to handle tese values?

If those are all your scoring rules, then you can divide them
by 10. But what are the complete scoring rules of your pool?
I am not sure what you meant by seeds and round winners.

You are not the first one to get a pool manager upset!

There are only two scoring rules in my pool this year.
For each winner picked in a game the score will be the sum of
(1) That winning teams seed number (e.g. a number one seed earns
1 point, a number two seed earns 2 points, etc.) and
(2) The points given for a win in a particular round.
10 points for a first round win
20 points for a second round win
40 points for a third round win
80 points for a fourth round win
120 points for a fifth round win and
200 points for a sixth round (championship) win

so if I pick a number 4 seed to win in round 3 and it wins I will get
44 points for that pick. My total for the pool will be the sum of the
points earned by my winning picks.

If If use the poologic calculator as it is now construced, I can't get
more than 50 points in any given round when my team wins. If I scale
the points down in my pool by dividing by 10, then I have to use a
decimal (0.1) as the seed factor in each round when I use the poologic
calculator. Can your algorithm be modified to either (a) take more than
50 points for a win in a given round or, (b) accept decimal values for
the seed factors?
• ... get ... the ... get ... scale ... poologic ... than ... for ... OK, I will put up a version that you can use. But you will probably find that just using

OK, I will put up a version that you can use. But you will probably
find that just using 50 for the last three rounds would give about
the same result.

What were your pool scoring rules for last year? I'd like to get
more info on the scoring rules that pools use.
• ... winners ... I put a special version here: http://home.nc.rr.com/wtadams/poologic/poolcalc200.htm Please try it out. I tested it with IE only. Some browsers

I put a special version here:

Please try it out.

I tested it with IE only. Some browsers have done odd things with
large drop done menus in the past.
