***** You are correct, Darren. The old "no 'I' in team" cliché has never
been more tangibly demonstrated than it has been during the Belichick era
with the Patriots. That is true in so many ways. The way the team spreads
the ball around on offense. The way the team "schemes" to cover "weak spots"
in the defense. The way the true core players of the team accept less than
top dollar to help ensure a solid overall roster. The way the management
bites the bullet of losing very good players whose financial demands exceed
the parameters of the team's budget structure.
***** The New England Patriots are the most successful team of the "salary
cap era." Anyone who would discard the possibilty that they could win their
4th Super Bowl in the last 6 years this season is a fool. If it happens, or
even if it comes close to happening, the factors noted above will be the
reasons why that pattern of success continues.
***** We are living in the ME generation. But 'WE' will always be the right

That is a beautiful quote that highlights that the Bengals, or at least this
player, doesn't get why the Patriots have had success. It is not eleven one
on one battles out there, Housh! It is one team against another. If you
try to attack individual match up advantages against the Patriots, the TEAM
will compensate for that and prevail. And that is why they are a dynasty!
