I don't know if anyone else was 'selected' for this Yahoo 'Neo' experiment, but it's a disaster so far. People were chosen without their knowledge, or ability to opt out. It has big problems, like large numbers of people unable to see or access their Groups. I can access them here at work, with IE8, but not at home with FF.
The Yahoo feedback and community forums are on fire with complaints, especially from Group owners and mods. They ain't happy. Hopefully, they will fix it soon...
