my name is lorraine and i`am 38, i married into hd, did not know this
until about 8 years ago, my mother-in-law found out when i was 7 months
pregnant, my husband had the test 8 months later, he has it.
my mother-in-law has tried alot of times to kill herself, she is now in a
home, the family could no longer look after her. my husband is just starting
to show signs and is on anti-depresants.
the hard part i find no one every askes me how i`am and if i can cope,
other times no, i am finding it getting harder, am not ready meself to cope.
the children have been told, my daughter has been very good, she askes
questions and i try to answer openly, my sons to young to now and different
mybe we can talk again soon.

I know what you mean about you though. People hear about the disease or that mom tried to kill herself, I don't once remember anyone asking my sister and I how we were coping.
