No need to take an alarmist position here.
Whenever there is junk on the mailing list, what has actually happened
is that the person has got some kind of malware or spyware issue, and
that malware or spyware has sent junk email randomly to some of the
email addresses that the person has ever sent to or received from. That
is what has happened here.
The answer is to install a program called Malwarebytes. That should cut
down on this kind of incident.
