Normally, by the time you unsubscribe or set your mail to read on
web, the damage is already done, the threshold hit and the person
removed from eGroups automatically. Actually, there are two
methods they use. The first detects it an auto-responder right
away and only sends a post to the sender of the post that the
auto-responder is trying to reply to. If that fails, eGroups
will eventually either remove from seeing multiple posts or the
threshold will be hit at which time I have to approve any more
posts to be sent out. At least that is the way it has been
acting. eGroups changes so much it is hard to keep up with them.
By the time I make it to eGroups to unsubscribe the person,
he/she has already been subscribed. The main thing for list
members to remember is when they see it happen do not post to the
list, else the responder will go right back into a loop if he
hasn't been removed yet.
