Two black-bellied whistling ducks were present at Lake Killarney at 8:45 Tuesday morning. They were loafing on the bank near the small pier at the park on the west end of the lake. Also present were wood storks, cattle, great, and snowy egrets, as well as the usual Canada geese.
Monday afternoon about 4:00 PM there were 5 Mississippi kites feeding above the lake near the west end. They have been present regularly at about that same time for a number of days.
