Interesting birds observed at the park in February included
1 Browncreeper - Rec Area on 8th and 12th
4 Dark-eyed Junco - daily in the Rec Area
1 Winter Wren - Lake Overstreet trail on 10th
high count of 14 Hermit Thrushes on Lake Overstreet trail
up to 2000 Ring-necked Ducks on Lake Overstreet departed mid-month
a peak count of 52 Wood Ducks on Lake Overstreet
Bald Eagles seen almost daily over Lakes Hall and Overstreet
thousands of American Robins recently many of which have been singing in the evening reminding me of hearing Blackbirds serenading in the evening back home in England
not many Cedar Waxwings left by end of the month as nearly all holly berries have been scoffed!
dawn chorus towards end of the month has included several Yellow-throated Warblers in gardens and a Northern Parula near the maintenance shop on 26th.
non-avian sightings have included regular Bobcat between the Rec Area and the main park entrance.
