This week I had my photographs delivered that I ordered from Ebay.
They where taken on the 24th of May outside
the CIA building, celebrating the expansion of the CIA building. I
did some research into the
two fellows that helped run the CIA at that time. ONe was William
Joseph Casey, then the director of central
intelligence. He had a interesting career at the SEC, with some
dark history that the SEC don't like to
remember. There where interesting events of MR Casey orchestrating
propaganda of the SEC conducting
raids and shutting down companies. Basically Casey sounds like he
had a great imagination and ability to
spin a story. Great work experience for his postion at the CIA.
But really he was given the postion because
he helped Reagan with his political campaign.
In the photos sitting next to Reagan is John N. McMahon, and long
time CIA employee. He is
now a lobbyist for Lockheed Martin, pushing congress to put
millions into classifed programs.
One other thing I noticed is the current CIA head honcho is now a
military man. Is that good or bad?
I have heard that the CIA is under Bush more focused on terrorism
and the military campaigns of warfare.
Is that true?
I wanted to see some more connections withe Reagan, the CIA and the
NRO programs at that time. Remember 1984 was a year
we all thought communist Russia could invade us or nuke us at any
moment. I did some research for keywords linked to
NRO programs but didn't find anything interesting. Maybe I should
look at FOIA docs during this time period.
The Iran-Contra situation at this time was pretty interesting. I
found a PDF file of a description of the harbor mining in
Nicaragua. Pretty amazing that we helped the contras back then.
I'll have to do more research on that.
