washing purification of the reactor-effluent of the Transesterification
reaction for the production of biodiesel by the mixing of the biodiesel and
the purifier-adsorbents : Magnesium Silicate or Zeolite powders or
ion-exchange resin. The mixing of the biodiesel and the adsorbents,
subsequently requires filtration, that is tedious and suffers with lower
productivity. An optimal method of waterless washing biodiesel suggests the
use of Washing Pellets, which are pelletized adsorbents of the minerals
otherwise used for the water-free washing of biodiesel. The goal of the
pelletization is to produce tangible objects that can be used in process
vessels designed to support the purification, and can also be readily
separated from the purified biodiesel fluid. Several factors impact the
preparation of the pellets, as presented here. Read more... <http://www.gbanalys ts.com/Reading% 20Room/Situation %20Analysis/ BiodieselTechs/ washingpellets. html>
