Narcissistic Personality Disorder - Recovery Help For The Unsuspecting
My name is Phil Petree. I spent 3 years with an NPD and I know how hard it is to get out and move on with your life. So, I started npdr.org to create a place where people can come to restore life. To help you find under-standing, to dealing with, to escape, to recover and to rebuild after life with an NPD.
This site contains many valuable resources to help you find the answers you need. If something is missing, ask in the forums as most likely you will find the answer in there.
Hero or Lead in a Tragedy?
you will never, ever be even remotely as important to anyone else as you are to yourself. Except to the narcissist, where you will play the tragic lead in their drama, following a script you can never learn, playing a roll you can never master...
Welcome to Narcissistic Personality Disorder Recovery
Narcissistic Personality Disorder Recovery (NPDR.ORG) is a web site dedicated to helping you identify, escape, recover and rebuild from life with a person with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).
There are many steps in the process of recovery from life with an NPD and you will find folks on here in all phases of the process. From those still reeling with the shock of discovering they have lived under the abuse of an NPD to those who have escaped, recovered and rebuilt their lives.
There are many questions that have to be answered:
- What is Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD)? Can it be cured?
- What are the symptoms? Am I really the crazy one?
- How do you leave a person with NPD safely? Is there a way out?
- How do I recover my life and who I was? How do I grieve when nothing was real?
- How do I rebuild and go on from here?
this is warning text
You are welcome here and you will find a safe place to hide, hang out, learn, grow, recover and rebuild. We have only two rules:
- No NPDs are allowed, when we find them, we delete them. Period.
- We don't mention the names of those with NPD as we don't want to feed their egos or in any way make them feel important.
The real magic here at npdr.org happens in our forums. Its where you can speak to others anonymously, ask advice from those who have been there and compare stories with those whore are still there. Its where you will learn you are not alone, you are not the crazy one and that there is a way out. So, come on in, join us in the your recovery and tell us your story.
