Well, they can also be devices for keeping focused. Let's "ignore" the
perceived slight to CSL and consider the concept in the broader use of
reading "dated" material. Or "ignoring" a nice young person's green hair
or anyone's bad breath.
Sounds like something out of Harry Potter though, doesn't it?
