One-year Half-time Position in Musicology, 2005-2006
The Wellesley College Music Department seeks a musicologist to teach at
the undergraduate level. Wellesley College, a liberal arts institution
located 12 miles to the southwest of Boston, is dedicated to educating
women who will make a difference in the world. The department seeks a
musicologist to teach History of Western Music-Middle Ages-Baroque to
music concentrators (Fall), as well as History of Jazz to
non-concentrators (Spring). In addition, the candidate would offer a
seminar-style half-semester course in early Spring in the area of his or
her choosing. The department prefers applicants with a Ph.D. and with
notable classroom teaching experierince, but will consider applicants
are well advanced in a doctoral program and can provide a record of at
least two years of successful undergraduate classroom teaching
in the history and literature of music. Please send a curriculum vitae
