We really need your help this weekend Saturday, June 10th 9AM - Noon at the park site! The paths are starting to disappear because the weeds are coming back through the gravel. Highly invasive knotweed is resurfacing and must be cut to the ground if we want to keep it from taking over the water edge views and native habitat.
Our group is being considered as a potential recipient for a grant from King County to be used for native plants for our park. Some of the steering committee members will be meeting with the King County representatives next week on site to answer questions, so it would be great to show that we have committed volunteers who help maintain the progress we have made thus far. Please come out for at least an hour and hopefully three if you can spare the time to help get things in shape.
THANKS EVERYONE!! We have tools and gloves, but bring your own if you like, especially if you have a hoe to use on the path.
