Center for Meditative Inquiry (http://www.springwatercenter.org)
Run by Toni Packer, it is located in northern New York State, near
Rochester. The center embodies the type of environment you
describe: a community of (non-monastic) people *consciously* working
together to see the workings of mind (and its belief systems).
