I smiled at the reference to 'Crown Land' as here in Canada that means land owned by our Government which being a Monarchy is Queen Elizabeth the II. Most of the vast timberlands in Canada are Crown Lands and there are lots of restrictions preventing most people from living on them. I realize of course you are speaking in an SCA context.
Which Lee Valley Tools pattern are you making? I would be interested in checking it out. I need plans to guide me as I am a very inexperienced wood worker.
