White Rock is just to the south of Los Alamos, and is a suburb of Los
Alamos. What's between Los Alamos and Santa Fe are several Indian
pueblos. Pojoaque (po-HWAH-keh, native spelling "Posuwaegeh") is one
Los Alamos is its own county, a legacy of its status as a secret
hidden city in World War II. White Rock is within Los Alamos County.
Qwest is the only private utility serving the community -- all the
other utilities are municipally owned.

not counting Comcast, the cable provider, as a utility, because it's
not regulated as such.)
