Hey Hil, Kathy and I are still recuperating too, what a week, is
right. And yes, what happens in the Bahamas stays in the Bahamas,
well at least parts of it, I can't wait to organize my photos and
post them on the website.
Kathy sends her love to you, Don, Dana and all the new friends she
made on board, and wants me to thank all of you for letting her just
totally relax and enjoy vacationing with the best people in the
world ---- ELVIS FANS.
It was so great for Kat to be able to just sit back, be herself,
relax, enjoy the cruise, and enjoy watching Don perform, as being an
audience member is something she rarely has a chance to do, and she
enjoyed it immensely.
I can't stress enough how much she enjoyed watching Don's "Magic Of
Elvis" performances. You mentioned he got flustered once or twice.
Hmm Kathy Westmoreland being in the audience surely didn't have
anything to do with that did it?
Remember I told you in the beginning, with Kathy around, you just
never know what will happen next. Was I right or what!!!

> Hi Group - many of you wanted to know how our cruise went,
and I don't have time right now to answer everyone individually.
This is the first chance I've had to email since Don and I got back
from our Bahamas Cruise. As you know, Kathy Westmoreland was our
special guest on this vacation. Kathy is beautiful and she is funny
and she was so gracious and kind to all the fans, telling stories
and cheerfully posing for pictures. (unlike some celebrities who
won't even let you look them in the face, yet alone talk to them!)
> What can I say? If you were there, you know it was a
fabulous event. If you couldn't go, well, we're sorry, but you
missed a once-in-a-lifetime chance to spend some one-on-one time with
Kathy. Kathy's assistant, June Moore also attended, and we were
happy to see her again, as she is also a lovely person and has a
great sense of humor.
> The cruise was great, the weather was decent (although it was
chilly at the beach and the water was cold), and Don's shows went
> The shows were opened to the public, so we had a really nice
crowd. Several people traveling with us had some really good luck -
one lady won some money at the casino and another lucky lady won a
free cruise for two! (If it couldn't be us, we were glad it was
someone who was part of our group).
> One of the reasons I did this cruise was not only to do
something fun and exciting for Elvis/Kathy fans, but to celebrate
Don's 50th birthday. Don won't be 50 til October, but we had such a
crowd that I decided it would be fun to get a cake and have everyone
sing Happy Birthday to him. Unlike me, Don is pretty cool, nothing
much flusters him, but he was so surprised with the birthday
celebration, that he had a 'brain cramp' and couldn't remember a
couple of words to one of the songs he was singing, but no one
cared - everyone was having fun. I have never seen people smile
so much. I mean how many people can say they had Kathy Westmoreland
and June Moore at their birthday party??? The whole cruise was
really great, actually, it was better than great - it was AWESOME!
> It was a lot of hard work for me, becoz our travel agent
didn't promote it like she should have, and I ended up helping people
find airfare, etc., but in the end, all went well.
> And remember 'What happens in the Bahamas, STAYS in the
> I have lots of pictures to get developed and eventually I
will put them on our website, but it will take me a while to get to
> At any rate, it was fabulous and our great honor and pleasure
to have Kathy and June with us. This cruise will be a very special
memory. Simply the best. We are proud to know Kathy and June.
> We got home Monday nite, and a couple hours later, our
daughter took an antibiotic for her sore throat and had an allergic
reaction to it - she couldn't breathe and her face, eyes, tongue,
lips, fingers, etc. swelled up to 4 times their normal size and she
felt like she was on fire. She was terrified, and so were Don and I
(but for Dana's sake, we had to force ourselves to act calm). Rushed
her to the emergency room and they gave her some medicine to
counteract the reaction. We were at the ER til 4 am. Always some
kind of drama in this family!
> AND THEN.....Sandi Pichon is in our hometown of Pittsburgh,
she will be a guest speaker at the We Remember Elvis Fan Club
Convention. Don and I got the chance to meet with Sandi Thursday
night. We were so happy that we got a chance to talk to her
privately - as she will be busy Friday and Saturday with fan club
members. Sandi told me to tell the group hello. It was a spur-of-
the-moment thing and we are so very glad we had the opportunity to
meet up with Sandi, as she is a special lady.
> Well, it was a fabulous week, but it's 'back to reality
time', as I have 12 loads of clothes that need hand washed and tons
of email/mail to answer.
> Take care and have a good day
