judge's abuse of authority out of hand. They typically see their mandate as
protecting the judges. All across the country, not just in South Dakota,
the courts are out of control, legislating from the bench, dispensing favors to
friends, punishing enemies, ignoring the laws and the Constitution, violating
the Code of Judicial Ethics. They have become a self-serving
political agency, more interested in a political agenda, or the profits that
accrue from their actions. It's high time the courts were subjected to
some outside oversight.
