I know we are feature frozen now, but ... I was wondering whether I am
the only one missing elements for basic graph annotation, like drawing a
box / a circle in the graph to mark an area that deserves particular
attention, or is enlarged in a subsequent plot (magnification glass
effect) etc. ?
I know I can generate a box with four arrows w/o heads, and I can
parametrize a circle and produce it with a couple additional plot
commands, but it is not really straight forward. For this reason (as
well as the extremely fine control over graph positioning in multi-graph
figures) I am using GLE on the side of gnuplot again these days, and I'd
really love to see these features in gnuplot, too.
Is there any hope that that makes it in (one of) the (following)
