add /usr/local/lib to /etc/ld.so.conf. That's on linux. dunno about Slowaris.
or set LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib and run u're binary. eg:
# LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib ./a.out
this shud run it.
