While I've not run the application, the site states the following:
"Once you have keyed in the data, the spreadsheet will create an ADIF
file from that data. You can then either import it into a full-featured
logging program or directly upload it to LoTW."

bar and select the location you want to save to and give the file a name

I don't think you have to have any expertise with Excel files, Mike.
Merely follow the instructions and import to HRD. I would imagine that
a comments column could be added but it would have to be crafted to
follow adif guidelines.
Remember - this is a quick and dirty method of creating an adif file to
be imported to HRD.
