Last month was just about an ideal one, for several reasons: (1)
not too heavy, not too light; 46 messages posted*, above average for
month, and same YTD as last year, (2) number of participants (16),
(3) minimal presence of yrs. truly (only 5 messages!), and (4) a fine
action between published scholars on an area of current controversy.
Contributors were Bruce Brooks (8 postings), Tom Reynolds (6), Judy
Redman (5), Mark Goodacre (4), Stephen Carlson and Ron McCann
(3 each), Rick Hubbard, Jack Kilmon, and James McGrath (2 each), with
singles from Andrew Criddle, Chris Skinner, Stephen Goranson*, Jordan
Stratford, Kayleen Asbo, and John Moon.
Most of the month's postings were on two threads - 'Authorship
Dating' at the beginning of the month (14 messages) and
Reponse to Goodacre's Thomas Book' at the end of the month (26
messages). The latter was, IMO, one of the best discussions we've
ever had. Many thanks to all, with special shout-out to well-known
biblioblogger James McGrath, from whom we hear all too rarely.
