i hope that is ok with you for the moment. the mandeans do not accept
jesus as the messiah, instead they see him as a sorcerer that usurped
john the baptiser's position ("the gnostic bible").
i still think it would be a good idea to read "the gnostic bible" and
draw conclusions for yourself at first, then test them here to see
what this group has to say.
i am just beginning to read gnostic texts, so i am not fluent yet to
discuss details. i know what the "kingdom inside" tells me is right
and i seem to get along with the group when i do post.
as you read gnostic texts and begin to understand them, the "still,
small voice" will guide you. you will chuckle at some things and take
to heart others. the promise is there: "ye shall know the truth and
the truth shall make you free."
trust yourself and let the group act as an intermediary to your search
in understanding things you don't yet understand. meditate on
passages that speak to you and the fullness of their interpretation
will be revealed. i know; i've been there and got a few t-shirts.
