Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Loch Ness Productions is pleased to announce volume discount pricing for California Academy of Sciences show licenses, plus the addition of two new versions of the gorgeous fulldome show "Chaos and Order" to our catalog. You can find more information at http://www.lochnessproductions.com/lnpages/lnpnews.html
and at our newly added Loch Ness Productions Blog.
Yes, we have a blog. It's where we share our thoughts about fulldome and answer questions like:
"What's New at Loch Ness Productions?"
"How do you choose fulldome shows for distribution?"
"How do you decide on topics for show production?"
"How did you get started?"
"What's your favorite fulldome show?"
We get asked these and many other questions by our colleagues at meetings, on the phone, in emails. Over the years we've enjoyed talking to many of you and having philosophical and technical discussions about fulldome shows, astronomy, space science, and many other cool topics that we have experience with in our daily work.
We're not often asked to share our experiences at meetings as guest speakers, but we do end up having fascinating conversations one-on-one with conference attendees. At IPS last year, after a long conversation with someone about writing for fulldome, he said, "Gee, you oughta write a book, you guys know so much."
That got me to thinking about creating a blog where we could share what we know freely. I already write a fairly popular one about astronomy and space science, called "TheSpacewriter's Ramblings" (http://www.thespacewriter.com/wp)
and so I pondered about creating a Loch Ness Productions blog. We could make it a place where we talk about our thoughts and philosophies of fulldome, review shows, put our press releases, announce new shows, explain why we create what we create or distribute what we distribute -- in short, a place where we can have electronic conversations with colleagues year-round, not just when all of us happen to be at the same conference at the same time.
So, we launched the Loch Ness Productions Blog last week on June 25th. You can find it here:
Today's entry talks about special pricing for California Academy of Sciences show licenses and announces two new versions of the gorgeous "Chaos and Order".
We welcome readers, comments and questions. It's not a one-way conversation, so please join in.
