well for a second week in a row i could not drag myself to a multiplex to watch some of the new movies i've missed. and again i spent the afternoon watching more sight & sound films. i finished barry lyndon and about half way through jules and jim, one of the french new wave films.
i share the sentiment that BL was not one of the better kubrick films. certainly more linear and easier storyline to follow. but i don't know if it was the narrator or what, but for me this story was more aloof and distant. i felt more compassion for HAL then i did the parents at the loss of their child. I wonder if this is not included on the list just because some consider ALL movies by kubrick greatness in a blind passion for the director.
as anyone see barry lyndon - what did you think of it?
well since i am awake again for a while i guess i will watch something more mindless it is too late to keep up with english subtitles.
