Ive seen these 3 movies recently:
Very witty , clever, funny and charming, depends mostly on dialogues and acting,
And they were
both superb, I just love these kinds of movies, reminded me of big chill .
Motorcycle Diaries :
Beautiful movie, great subject and wonderful character to talk about.
The cinematography was breathtaking. A thought, why not make a sequel, telling Guevaras story,! With Bernal in the leading role.?
Perfume : The story of a murderer
This movie returned my faith in the art of making novels into movies,
After the 2 flops: memoirs of a Geisha and Da Vinci code, this one regained the novels movies the place they deserve in the art of cinema,,
Great cast, screenwriting, directing ,and the soundtrack is charming.
It beautifully captures the novel events, when I read the novel, I thought its very hard to be made in to
a movie, I mean , a novel about smells and cents!!! !! but they did it, very brilliantly too.
I must say something about the narration, frankly, I dont like narrating, I think why narrate when we can have the events acted , but I loved the narration here, and I just loved how it gradually , very slowly , disappears until of course it come back in the end.,
I think that itll get an Oscar nod, if not some nods I might add.
Did I love it because I know the novel?? Is it still good for the audience who didnt read it???
Don Lockwood: Cosmo, call me a cab.
Cosmo Brown: OK, you're a cab.
