suggested Video Page Builder, and I then had some
problems downloading the software, which allows you to
create html linked to a video with a control window in
the html doc.
I wrote to concord.org, and they had bad files on
the server. Michael Coughlan and I (Mike was staying
with me and Jack here in Sacto for a week) both
managed to download the Video Page Builder from the
site this morning and successfully installed it on OS
X, OS 9, and Windows. It is cross-platform and free!
I think you must register as a member of Concord to
access the software downloads successfully. You will
get an e-mail message as soon as your membership is
processed--usually just a few minutes.
Now I need to find time to work through the
instructions, which are online.
Also in the instructions are detailed directions
for getting free captioning software: MAGpie. This
Captioning is great for putting in a text version of
the video that students are hearing in a movie. MAGpie
eliminates the need for a stop watch and timing of the
