I have just joined. I head up an e-learning team at the Food and
Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Rome, Italy.
I was hooked by your introduction that states "..help each other
learn about forming and maintaining robust online communities
through hands-on practice with synchronous and non-synchronous text
and multimedia CMC (computer mediated communication) tools".
While I am sure you are all well versed in e-communities, I just
wanted to make you aware that we have developed an e-learning module
entitled "building electronic communities and networks" which might
be useful to you in helping the people you support.
The course is free and offers 29 lessons on designing, setting-up
and facilitating an e-community. Currently available in English with
Spanish and French to be released shortly. A CD version is
also available for free to anyone that has bandwidth issues.
To have a look, just register with www.imarkgroup.org which only
takes a few minutes. If you like what you see, you may want to
explore our other free modules. I hope this and other IMARK
materials will be useful for your audience.
