Fred:Read it too. Figured it was old news and that it had already been covered in the "Errorscope". Guess I was wrong. He was another of the pioneers along with Margolis, Goodman, Wallace, Di Bella, etc. I'd bet Mark Lighterman would know more. Ron F.

Subject: [Error Coin Information Exchange] Major Error Collector Milt Cohen - Passed Away
Date: Tuesday, May 1, 2012, 11:51 AM
I just read in the new May issue of
The Numismatist, that Milt Cohen
He was a MAJOR collector of mint errors,
specializing in Off Metals, Off Centers,
and Double Strikes. He had some of the
best known, even today, examples of type
coin major mint errors.
The majority of his collection was sold by
Natalie Halpern in 1981.
Milt originally was from New York, and he
retired to Boynton Beach Florida about
The last time I saw him was at a FUN show,
about 6-7 years ago.
He was a great guy, great personality,
and I was shocked to read his "memoriam"
listing in the Numismatist.
