Lorena Maretta Ellwood Mattingly

Lorena Maretta Ellwood Mattingly, of Louisville, passed away peacefully with
her family at her side, on Thursday, March, 17, 2011, at Baptist East
Hospital. She was born in Red Ash, Kentucky, to the late Andrew Thomas
Ellwood and Hazel Ellen Green.
Lorena is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Marvin Justin
Mattingly; three daughters, Maretta (Joe) Cerone, of North Carolina, Justine
(Joe) Fowler, and Rhonda (Chuck) Hellinger, both of Georgetown; four sons,
Marvin (Cathy) Mattingly, Tom (Laurie) Mattingly, Howard Mattingly, and
Gordon (JoAnn) Mattingly, all of Louisville; eighteen grandchildren, Melissa,
David, Jacob, James, Laura, Beth, Wes, Angela, Tina, Daniel, Lucy, Jennifer,
Justin, Maggie, Sam, Jack, Brian, and Christopher; ten great grandchildren;
one great great grandchild; one sister, Betty Dillard; and two brothers,
Frank Cross and Edward Cross.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Pinney and Dorothy Tabor;
and her brother, Howard Ellwood.
Visitation is 12-2 pm, Monday, March 21, 2011 at St. Matthews Baptist Church
in Louisville, Kentucky, followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm, with Dr.
Greg Barr officiating.
Clark Legacy Center in Nicholasville, Kentucky is in charge of arrangements.
