Alberta Family Histories Society
is pleased to host a lecture
NATIONAL INSTITUTE of GENEALOGICAL STUDIES
‘Analyzing Your Genealogy Documents – What To Do Next’
The one-hour discussion will centre around a review of the family history information we have collected with a methodology for determining what course of action to embark on in the future. It will be of help to those working at the intermediate level of family research.
Ms. Murphy comes to us from Cobourg, Ontario. She is a professional genealogist, a lecturer, a writer, an archivist and a collector of Canadian historical books. Her genealogy work began over 25 years ago. Ms. Murphy is a prominent member of the Ontario Genealogical Society where she teaches librarians and frequently conducts workshops to enable family history researchers at the beginner, as well as advanced, levels. She is a member of the faculty of the National Institute for Genealogical Studies (NIGC). The NIGC partners with the University of Toronto in offering a program towards a Certificate in Genealogical Studies.
