Subject: [CAN-BC] Post 1901 Census -- Accessing 1911 Census
| Greetings All.
| Subsequent to my earlier post regarding online access to 1911
| records I have been contacted by the lister who stated that
| power problems at LAC and that is why there has been difficulty
| accessing these records.
| Vivian advises that she made a telephone call to Library and
| Canada and was told by staff there that electricity in the
| housing the Census servers would be turned off on 23 and 24
July and as
| a result none of the online Census records will be available on
| days. It will likely affect other databases as well.
| My suggestion to all is to take the time to enjoy the
weekend -- go to
| the beach, have a picnic, go for a drive in the country -- and
| on Monday.
| Happy Hunting.
