Everyone wants the Crown but sure try to eschew the Cross!
Being such a pedestrian, I try to understand what's
wrong with Jesus NOT Atoning for us "by proxy".
I try to understand what all those "fake" miracles of his
were to stand for: probably just rhetoric tricks, failing memories,
cosmic disinformation, glory seekers on the rise, old wives' tales.
I try to understand why such a fake would go to such lengths
to make his name, Jesus of Nazareth, stand for hope to so many gullible souls,
such as myself. But then, so many say i'm a stupid ass.
I try to understand why "those" victimizable christians
were so dumb as to let themselves be used by "some" spirit force,
the bunch of "christian" weirdos pretending to love one another. It gets worse:
they go as far as to love their enemies. Talk about dim wits.
I try to understand why "those" christians would be silly
enough to make Love some sort of a stupid standard to, they pretend,
light their "Way", exposing themselves to ridicule and slander,
loosing their jobs, their status and security, their lives.
I try to understand, since it's all so irrelevant, why so many
"others" are so dedicated to the eradication of the very notion
of that "spirit force", of that "Christ" thing that, these Christians say,
helps them be good or, some others say, help to improve, bit by bit.
What's it all for, anyway ?
What a loss of time and energy !
That Jesus freak, with those pointless "teachings" of his,
100% useless if you ask me, must have been quite some character.
Yeah! Quite a manipulator !
And these Christians went as far as to concoct some story about
the guy giving his life up so others would live: talk about some
fishing story. I'll bet I'm the big one that got away that day! Yo!
As if that wasn't enough, those Christian liars came up
with a bigger tale yet: their "master", they say, rose from the dead,
by some God, and they expect us to believe that stuff !
At least, some scholars make sense: they question it all,
and they make no sense of any of it, then go their own way.
We're lucky, aren't we: at least some scholars make sense
and make it plain that, to them, that Jesus of Nazareth story,
you simply pick what you like from it, here and there,
take what suits you, evolve some sort of a good conscience, write a book,
make a show of it all, go your own way, let the others think what they
will, just as long as you don't have to get involved and be a Christian.
The others, those "Christians", well, they're sort of a nice
bunch, they have nice churches, do social work, lend a helping hand,
now and then, pretending to be honest and dedicated. Well ...
They say it's all History, but who, of the reasonable ones,
would lend any sort of credence to that Jesus of Nazareth fellow
going any further than provide new "teachings", that public torture story,
getting himself flogged, hands and feet nailed to a cross,
scorned by the crowd, pretending to
die after a lance was put through his body, even?
Of course, everybody knows it's all symbols and no substance!
Crazy "christian" bunch: these weirdos say their guide, their
so-called 'master', Jesus of Nazareth, was risen from the dead for his
faithfulness to the very teachings he spread all about the country,
his followers. Risen from the Dead!
Come on, now !
A new mind, a new light, a new sort of thinking, perhaps:
that's for the enlightened ones, those who you can discuss with.
A physical body made alive anew, after dying, it's a bit much,
don't you think ! Resurrection from the dead... Total nuts!
Well, any intelligent person would have little or no choice
but conclude there's nothing in it for us. Why bother ?
It's not important that you take their "Bible", their
"Scriptures", as a whole. Just pick what suits you, forget about
the rest! This way, you can have your way and not worry about
the other things that Jesus of Nazareth taught, and perhaps did,
the other things his followers PRETEND happened.
Resurrection: it's a bit much, don't you think?
MY TAKE ON IT ALL: You think what you think and do exactly
what you want to do yourself, the way YOU see it : after all,
it's only thoughts, words and deeds. It's your life, no?
Spiritual force, the forces of Resurrection, the forces
of Universal Light, that "angels" stuff, that Pentecost non-event,
all that doesn't make you feel you're just as good as Jesus of
Nazareth, well, why even try and make any sense of it all !
It was all tricks, was it not ! Was it not ?
BUT, why is it that, getting to be 50 this very month,
having been raped as a child, shot at, strangled, thrown of the roof of a
5 story building, having been shot at again, many times
"point blanc", infected with deadly virii and bacteria, brainwashed,
strangled with a metal wire and handles, beat time and again,
in a chapel twice, attacked by martial arts bums on a contract,
decredibilized, framed, stung, over thirty times overall as I write this,
more even, i actually don't count anymore,
that this stupid ass here would still be alive if it was not for
some force that's related to Jesus of Nazareth, to h-i-s God,
to his ability to bring me back, support me morally, mentally,
and keep me keeping on when I fall short of his standards?
Yeah: it is just me, or is there something real
about it all, about the Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth,
whom I begged help me through it all, even as they raped me,
mocking God, those big time "respectables" ?
Right to this day ! Right to this very moment !
I don't make sense of it all, too often, myself, but then,
what on Earth are you going to answer me? That i "imagined"
having gone through all of this, for all the moral pain, all the pain,
all the fright, all the meaninglessness, all the loneliness, all the scorn,
all the wonderment, and my ever so weak little words of praise,
my hopeful quiet little prayers, as a child even, my quest for At-One-Ment,
my hope of atonement through Jesus' freely entered into Cross mystery,
my asking to share the Wisdom, the Science, the Way of Peace, my tears,
my other tears, my keeping on keeping on, come what may!
That's one answer I can't wait to read.
You may preach what you like to preach... Eventually,
you'll have to contend with the resurrected Jesus of Nazareth
and the WHOLE of his teachings, of his life, not just what suits you good.
You edit out any chunk of his human experience and pretend you're
way cool, that your sermons sound so good, and whatnot. OK with me.
Eventually, you'll have to contend with the resurrected
Jesus of Nazareth: I just hope and pray you realize the wondrous beauty
and wisdom of it all, while it's still time. But then, Jesus is Jesus, luckily,
and there's not that much I'd be fit to preach other than suggest
you reconsider some of your seemingly "logical" options !
Eventually, you'll have to contend with the resurrected
Jesus of Nazareth, my only master.
