The "Inside Out" workshop is a part of "Make It Better, Iowa," an evolving campaign, designed to start a chain reaction of positive social change, creating a welcoming environment for young members of the LGBT community in Iowa. This interactive workshop, presented by Working Group Theatre and UNI Forum Theatre Specialist, Karen Mitchell, will teach participants to use forum theatre techniques as a tool to use to address oppression and conflict. AIDS Project of Central Iowa Walk/Run

The 2010 AIDS Walk/Run benefitting the AIDS Project of Central Iowa will be at Des Moines University on April 10, 2010. Bring your friends and family and show your support. There are two events, a 1 mile walk or a 5k run followed by entertainment by the Isiserettes, refreshments, osteopathic manipulations by the Des Moines University Finish Line, prizes, children's activities and more to come!

Iowa Marriage Equality Anniversary Celebration (Des Moines)

On April 3, 2009, Iowa became the first state in the heartland to grant gay and lesbian couples the freedom to marry. On that day, thousands of Iowans gathered in cities large and small to celebrate the unanimous Iowa Supreme Court decision. Join One Iowa on Saturday, April 2, 6:30pm at the Scottish Rite Consistory in Des Moines to celebrate the second anniversary of marriage equality in Iowa.
