Dear Friends and Compatriots,
The Stonewall Brigade Camp 1296, Sons of Confederate Veterans, is pleased to announce the
upcoming Lee-Jackson Day Festivities in Historic Lexington, Virginia including a Grand Confederate
Ball. The events will be held January 17-18, 2003. Join us in honoring the memory of Generals
Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson in the beautiful town of Lexington, which was
their final earthly home and resting place. Remember it is your duty to help us preserve their legacy.
Friday, January 17, 2003 (Lee-Jackson Day Banquet and Confederate Ball)
6:00 - 7:00 pm Welcoming Reception - Moody Hall on the grounds of Virginia Military Institute
7:00 - 8:30 pm Lee-Jackson Day Banquet (tickets required) - Moody Hall at VMI
(Menu to include: two meats, side dishes, roll, tea/coffee, desert, etc.)
8:30 -11:00 pm Lee-Jackson Day Ball (tickets required) - Moody Hall- Virginia Military Institute
(Music by: The Virginia Military Institute Civil War Period Brass Ensemble)
(note: a dance floor will be provided (non-carpet)
Saturday, January 18, 2003 (Lee-Jackson Day Parade and Memorial Services)
(Join these festivities in Confederate/Period Attire or come as you are. Group Participation encouraged)
9:30 am Participants to begin assembling in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery (Jackson's grave)
10:00 am Memorial Service at the grave of Gen. Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson.
Including wreath laying, music, guest speaker, rifle salute, reenactor procession.
(If you or your group wish to lay a wreath please register your wreath at 9:30 am)
11:00 am Lee-Jackson Day Parade through Lexington ending at the Virginia Military Institute.
(Weapons must be returned to vehicles or left under our guard before entering W&L or Lee Chapel)
A Final Tribute will be held at VMI to honor Jackson and the VMI cadets who served in the War
12:05 pm Memorial Service dedicated to General Robert E. Lee inside Lee Chapel (Washington & Lee)
Featured Speaker and Author: Dr. H. Rondel Rumburg, Commander Appomattox Courthouse
Rangers #1733 and former Alabama Division Chaplain, Sons of Confederate Veterans, etc.
Service will also include special music, soloist, and presentations.
1:15 pm Lee-Jackson Birthday Luncheon (tickets required) (Two meat buffett with sides, drink, & desert)
There will be a special music program for those who attend the luncheon.
Afternoon Tours of Lexington, The Stonewall Jackson House, VMI Museum, Interpretation at Jordan's Point will
be available upon the amount of interest. Please notify us if any of these tours would interest you. May require a fee.

10:00 am Church Service- Honoring the Christian roots of Lee and Jackson. Subject to interest. Please let us
know if you would like to attend this service. Location to be announced.
Activity Costs: All events are free and open to the public execpt for the luncheon, banquet, and ball.
Lee-Jackson Luncheon $15.00 per adult before December 15th, $17.00 thereafter. Children $10.00 with adult.
Lee-Jackson Banquet/Ball $40.00 per adult before December 15th, $45.00 thereafter. Children $15.00 with adult.
Combination Ticket $50.00 per adult before December 15th, $55.00 thereafter. Children $20.00 with adult.
Ball Only $20.00 per adult, Children $10.00 with adult. (Subject to availability)
All paying events are SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY due to limited seating. Please purchase your tickets early!
Children's Tickets: You may purchase up to 2 children's tickets for each paying adult for children up to age 12.
Children over age 12 add $5.00 to "Child Prices"
Incliment Weather Policy: The Stonewall Brigade Camp will refund up to the entire cost of a ticket for an event(s)
which is cancelled due to inclement weather or at the Camp's discretion subject to
the deduction of any portion of expenses the Stonewall Brigade Camp may incure for
establishment of the said event(s). It is our goal to host a quality and fair event.

the I-64 Exit. Go 1/2 mile and take Exit 55. Turn right at stop sign and left at next light. Go 1/4 mile.
Special Room Rates: $59.99 for up two adults. $5.00 per additional adult.
