Carol:I suppose the first thing would be a willingness to get up early and haul your boat to Antrim Lake.We will be floating just outside of the swimming course. The course is a triangle. Our job is to be ready in case anyone needs help. Help usually means that the swimmer may wish to take a break from his/her swim and hang on the side of your boat. Most of the participants have done open water swims and are prepared for the challenge. But even the well prepared might get disoriented, cramp etc. That would be why we would be there.Probably too late to get a t-shirt for participating as Jeff Pearson was taking orders for sizes about a week ago. But you could probably attend the post-race party which I believe is at the Shoe! Food, beverages etc provided there. On Jun 29, 2013, at 9:59 AM, Carol Hunsberger <cheshuns@...> wrote:What is involved in volunteering/swimmer support?Carol Hunsberger -- new person at the non-moon event Sunday

Just a quick check-in. Who has volunteered to provide support for the Tri-Fit Challenge at Antrim Lake on Saturday June 30 (ie tomorrow)?
I plan to be there sometime between 5:15 and 5:30 AM. I am pulling my yaks on a trailer so I will need to both unload and then get the car and trailer situated somewhere. I have a cart that we can use to haul boats down to the waters edge. It is a fair distance from the parking lot to the water…..basically you are walking underneath 315.
You might want to bring water but you will not be out in the boat that long…..certainly not as long as the Aquathon at Alum Creek! Should be fun, the swimmers appreciate having us there and we get bragging rights…..we have kayaked in Antrim Lake!
