Rol, I would also like to point out to you that Storm Front is
nominated for Best Barbershop Song from our album "Storm Watch".
Lets keep singing!
Well, I again apologize
for missing an entry -- and one for my favorite barbershop quartet. I guess
I'll have to turn over scrutinizing the list (of about 130, I believe) to
someone with better eyesight or concentration.
Anyway, congrats to Storm
Front. Hope to see them on our Boulder A Cappella series this spring
sometime. What about it, fellas?
Meanwhile, come the the March 6 Sweeps to catch
some other winners!
Well, folks, I have been called to task
regarding a couple of omissions, entirely unintentional I assure you, in my
notice of exceptional accomplishments in the Contemporary A Cappella Recording
Award nominations the other day.
Truthfully, I wasn't aware that the
Sounds of the Rockies Chorus from Denver's Mile High SPEBSQSA
Chapter was on the nominated album, "Top 21 Choruses of 2003," but of course
they would be. They're only spectacular and winning awards all
More obvious, but less a Colorado issue, was
my failing to mention the Inpulse nomination for "Best
Pop/Rock Cover Song." Inpulse will be competing in the Rocky Mountain Harmony
Sweepstakes, three weeks from tonight -- coming all the way from St. Paul
Congrats to all of these fine musicians. They
deserve not only our mention, but our admiration.
Come to the Denver Sweeps on March 6 and
you'll find out why.
