Well Jacque, your experience with NOW sounds like a real bummer. All
I know is we just have to keep on doing with we believe is right.
It's sure not easy sometimes. I also think it's important to know
what other groups are doing so we can support them, and continue to
ask them to join with us. If they say "no" well then we just have to
go on. I can hardly wait to see the banner you're making.
About the "Silent Marchers" project. There are a couple emails which
you have probably received and I hope you will post them here as I
haven't figured how to do that yet. I think this is a great project
and may even touch the hearts that need to be touched. I went to the
CCAWT meeting last week on Thursday evening, and of course CCAWT has
committed to support that project and also added some good ideas.
Some dates: work dates at United Church, NW 17th St & NW 5th Ave:
1/13 Thurs 4PM & 1/14 Fri 4PM; Sunday 1/16 2PM. The Silent Marchers
will be displayed on the Downtown Plaza on Thursday 1/20 from 3 -
7PM, if all goes according to plan (reservations, etc.) Hopefully
inside the plaza area, as a kind of labyrinth walk. Later displays at
other locations, possibly something around ML King Day. More later,
