Yesterday, Jerry Petrosky found 3 WILLIAMSONS SAPSUCKER and relocated near Cheesman Reservoir: AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER and LEWISS WOODPECKER. On 7/26, Blakeslee reported RED-HEADED WOODPECKER. Yesterday, Petrosky also found a singing Dickcissel and relocated BOBOLINK (Stevens, 5/16) at the Winkler Ranch south of Castlewood Canyon State Park.
Yesterday, Kosten & Ehlmann relocated BURROWING OWLS along the DIA (DEN) Owl Loop:
6 at 3.4 miles east of Tower Road & 96th avenue
4 at Powhaton & 128th avenue
4+ at Trussville and 114th avenue.
2 at Tower Road, 0.2 miles north of 56th avenue

On 7/28, Hudson relocated an AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER along the Strawberry Jack Trail, several hundred yards south of the Parkview Trail at Pike National Forest (access through Pine Valley Ranch Park). On 7/25, Jerry Petrosky relocated 3 Williamsons Sapsuckers (Ehlmann, 5/19) at Genesee Mountain Park. On 7/16, Terry Michaels reported from Reynolds Park: WILLIAMSONS SAPSUCKER (M. Brown, 7/10); AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER (M. Brown, 7/10); DUSKY GROUSE; and COMMON POORWILL.
On 7/26, Wayne McIsaac relocated the BURROWING OWLS (McIsaac, 6/21) at Hwy 52 and Boulder County Road 13. Mark Miller relocated BURROWING OWL along Lookout Road, approx. 0.5 miles east of 79th street. Ted Floyd relocated CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRDS (Dixie Smith, 7/11) at Fawnbrook Inn, Allenspark.

On 7/31, Jason Cooper relocated a BLUE TROATED HUMMINGBIRD (presumably at same location as 7/30?). On 7/30, David Wright reported a BLUE THROATED HUMMINGBIRD at 25 3/4 and C 1/4 Roads; Grand Junction Wildlife Area.
Clear Creek County
On 7/31, Denise Ryan relocated Brown-capped Rosy Finches (Stevens, 6/7) at the northwest & southwest corners of Summit Lake, Mt Evans Byway. On 7/13, Dave Bingham relocated WHITE-TAILED PTARMIGAN (Weston, 6/13) at the top of the Mt Evans Byway. Bingham also reported AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER at Echo Lake Campgrounds.
On 7/31, Stevens relocated AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKERS (Weston, 7/30) up the Hayden Pass Trail. They also relocated 2+ Flammulated Owls (Weston, 7/30) in the area.
On 7/31, Gary Koehn reported an AMERICAN BITTERN at Lake San Cristobal. On 7/29, Gary Koehn reported a COMMON LOON.
On 7/30, Ehlmann relocated an American Three-toed Woodpecker (Michaels, 7/6) up Georgia Pass, Michigan Creek Road. On 7/29, Denise Ryan found an adult female & 5 young WHITE-TAILED PTARMIGAN (Michaels, 7/6) on Kenosha Pass.
On 7/29, Ehlmann relocated LEWISS WOODPECKER (Tuvesson, 7/4) in Buena Vista. They relocated PINYON JAY at the KOA Campgrounds below the Buena Vista Overlook. On 7/29, Weston reported AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER around the parking lot for Monarch Ski Area, east of Monarch Pass.
On 7/28, Denise Ryan reported an AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER 150 yards up the A.M. Bailey Bird Sanctuary trail. On 7/18, Jerry Petrosky reported AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKERS west of the creek at A.M. Bailey Bird Sanctuary and halfway between the upper trailhead and the sanctuary. On 7/27, Joe Elliott found 6 AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKERS along Boulder Creek off CR 1376 north of Silverthorne.
On 7/28, Susan Allerton reported an adult BLACK PHOEBE feeding young at the Navajo Watchable Wildlife Area.

On 7/28, Todd Deininger reported adult and young PURPLE MARTIN around Vaughn Lake.
On 7/27, Weston & all relocated Gunnison Sage-Grouse (Ehlmann, 6/11) along Gunnison County Road 38, south of CR 38A. On 7/26, the CoBus groups reported a FLAMMULATED OWL (near Aspen Tree Tunnel) and relocated AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER (Ehlmann, 7/25) east of old cemetery on Kebler Pass. They also found a White-tailed Ptarmigan south of Emerald Lake, Schofield Pass. Ehlmann & Ehlmann reported Purple Martin (0.5 miles west of cemetery) on Kebler Pass. On 7/25, Stevens & Weston reported from Old Kebler Pass: PURPLE MARTIN, DUSKY GROUSE, and NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL (between Bogan Flats Campgrounds and O.K.P. Road. On 7/23, Ehlmann relocated DUSKY GROUSE and NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL west of the west end of the south rim drive at Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park.
On 7/27, Chuck Bell reported 4 AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER 9/10 mile up the Montgomery Pass Trail. On 7/20, Stevens & Peters relocated FLAMMULATED OWL on Pennock Pass and BOREAL OWL in the Colorado State Forest. On 7/21, Tina Jones reported 3 American Three-toed Woodpeckers next to Devils Thumb Ranch.
