The Mad century rush to winter riding is on.
The 5th Annual Sawnee-Burnt Mountain Century Challenge will be held Saturday, October 17. This is a major fundraising event for the Cumming Kiwanis Club, with proceeds to benefit the Sponsored Youth Programs in the Forsyth County Schools. There are four routes: 25, 44, 75 & 100 miles. The 75 & 100 mile routes climb Burnt Mountain, a Cat 2.5 climb of almost 5 miles.
The first 20 cyclists arriving at the base of Burnt Mountain will be eligible for the King of the Mountain competition. The clock starts at the base of the mountain at mile 34. All times will be posted to the Kiwanis Club web site. Gift Certificates will be presented to the top 3 finishers.

All registered cyclists are eligible for door prizes, including a RavX Indoor Trainer. 75 & 100 mile rides begin at 8:00am with the 25 & 44 mile rides beginning at 8:30am.
