I'm glad it was worth a chuckle. And... it finally actually got
posted. I figure everyone is having similar problems. There is a good
side. In the "old" Club format a nasty fight developed... so I just
left it there and didn't deal with it.
Just to toss out what I'm seeing, so we can see if we're getting
Some of my members report that they are getting two of everything.
These, of course, are those who have elected to receive e-mails. So
far people are being lighthearted about it.
My biggest concern is my foreign membership. They are really going to
be confused (like English as a second language wasn't tough enough,
now there's this) and I haven't heard from any of them since the
conversion. Hopefully they will be back.
In some respects, considering the size of the task, I'm amazed that
Yahoo has pulled this off to this point. On the other hand, I think
that from a member relationship standpoint they have failed. Intended
or not, Yahoo comes off as arrogant, aloof, unconcerned, dismissive,
lacking in direction, and not terribly smart or technologically
capable. Appearances do matter. What they do after this conversion
debacle will determine what Yahoo really is... plumbers or
carpenters? Directing crap through pipes or building substantial,
viable, and profitable communities?
