I wasn't going to do this, but all these posts on who stole from the
Indians and who was here first is bugging me:
-The "latest" seems to be that the Paleo-American Indians, which have
been called the "Clovis" people, were not the original
discoverers/inhabitants of America (or Texas). Not being an
Anthropologist, I don't know how far this has gone past the theory
stage, but the discovery of that Caucasian type skeleton in Washington
state has gotten some scholars convinced that it is a representative
of a prior people who inhabited the Americas - perhaps a less
vigorous inhabitation. The closest living examples of their type may
be the Ainu aboriginal people of Japan.
