I've just returned to my home in Vermont after a 6 month sabbatical at UC-Davis.
It was nice getting to know some of you in person and many of you via the
internet. Birding in Davis and surrounding areas was great, and your help and
advice were greatly appreciated. I believe I wound up with 242 species on my
sabbatical "trip list". In appreciation, I would like to propose a Holiday
Bird Exchange: I will send you a Bicknell's Thrush, a Bohemian Waxwing, and an
eastern Warbler sp. of your choice, if you would please send me a Burrowing
Owl, a Swainson's Hawk, and a Townsend's Warbler to share with my birding
Happy Holidays to everyone, and I hope to see some of you again on future trips
to No. California. If any of you plan to visit No. New England, please get in
touch and perhaps we can do some birding together.
