I just uploaded 4 new photos of the Skarf Joint Gluing Jig, under
Jigs and Such. They are only as good as my cheap camera/and ability
would allow, so if you can't read them too well and you want to skarf
your joints, just give me a buzz. I could always send a copy of the
plan and photos if necessary.
To show how it works, I just skarfed a short piece because of limited
space in my shop. A real world setup would require a shop of 20'
long or so, or work outside.
The complete setup would be to have it fastened to a sawhorse and
move it around to where it is needed between jacks or horses that
would support the entire length of the finished strip.
Although it's quite possible to glue up with the strips in place on
the hull, it would probably be easier to have full length strips made
up and ready to go onto the hull.
