The problems of grain traffic on rural roads is just making news in Kansas.
It has been front and centre news for the last few years up here in
Saskatchewan Canada, "the breadbasket of the world".
The current thought up hear, or at least the official government comment, is
to urge farmers to haul during the winter when the roads are frozen. We'll
see how many farmers actually do that.
More and more, paved rural roads are being ignored, with drivers choosing
gravel substitutes, because the gravel roads are in much better shape then
Regina, Sk, Canada.
