This is a great all-in-one introduction to letterpress printing - for
the beginner or someone who has not printed in quite a while. We'll
be using a tabletop platen press to create a portfolio of postcards.
Printing basics will be reviewed, including press set up and
operation, locking up type in the chase, inking, printing reliefs and
printing from plates. This class is a great chance to learn by
doing. Other press
and general shop issues will also be covered including: changing ink
colors, cleaning the press, and redistributing type.
Limited class size. All materials provided.
Taught by Marcia Brown. $100 per person.
