Euroregional Center for Democracy is now accepting applications for its
Exchange Program for Leadership Development in South Eastern Europe
The program is an intensive six-week exchange designed to develop future
leadership for the nonprofit community in South Eastern Europe. It addresses
young people from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Macedonia,
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary engaged in the nonprofit sector and
interested in pursuing a career in this field. Participants will gain
hands-on experience by working side-by-side with the center's team in order
to accumulate and share knowledge and skills. The program is also an
excellent tool for creating contacts and developing future cross-border
partnership projects between NGOs and institutions in the region as well as
an opportunity for professional collaboration .
The first session in 2002 will take place between February 4th - March 17th
(6 weeks). Deadline for receiving applications is January 27th.
Profile of the applicant
* has to be an active member of a registered NGO from one of the
following countries: Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Macedonia,
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary
* must have very good command of English
* has to be motivated to contribute to his/her organization's
Submitted applications will consist of:
* completed application form
* recent photo
* one-page description of the NGO they are representing
* letter of recommendation
Incomplete applications will not be considered. The application form is

made on a competitive basis, taking into consideration the applicant's
background, involvement, skills and interests.
