Hello From The BAHL Office!
Responsible Parent Tip of the Week: To excel, your children must love the game enough to work at it. Pressuring them to excel can sap that love. You can nurture this love of playing by noticing and recognizing them for specific things they're doing well.
Posted on the website, and below in this update, is the youth drop-in schedule for Christmas break (December 26-30). Also on the website is our public skate schedule for that week – plenty of opportunities to come skate beginning with December 23rd!
- No girls hockey practice tomorrow -
I hate putting a damper on everyone’s holiday spirit, but there are a few on-going issues that need to be addressed. First, PLEASE make sure the stick or equipment you are leaving the arena with is actually yours. Mistakes happen and you grab a stick that looks similar to yours, but isn’t. Yesterday a brand new goalie stick from the Squirts left the building without its rightful owner. Its return to the skate room would be greatly appreciated.
Second, unattended children in the building are becoming a problem. A lot of time and money was spent this summer sprucing up the arena. It is very disheartening to the employees and volunteers to see their hard work disrespected. NO FLOOR HOCKEY in the building. Sticks and pucks are for the ice only. Please do not allow your children to shoot pucks at our walls or play in the bathrooms or locker rooms.
This past weekend a group of unsupervised children climbed the scaffolding that the Bulls erected for the broadcasting of their game. Some of the broadcast equipment was damaged by these children. Luckily no one was injured this time. There are a lot of hazards in an arena and we really don’t want anyone injured or any equipment damaged.
Thank you for your help!
The Bulls play host to the Missoula Maulers to start our weekend on Friday night, 7:30 pm game time. The remainder of the weekend is very quiet – regular team practices on Saturday along with public skate sessions both days.
Photos are ready for viewing on the Fun Foto Design website: http://www.photoreflect.com/store/ThumbAccess.aspx?e=8343332 You will be asked to enter the name of the arena to access the photo gallery. Enter – Centennial. This will bring up all the photos that Lou Ann and Ally took of our skaters!
If you have trouble with the above link, go to www.funfotodesign.com and choose the “home” button in the lower left corner which will reveal an “order” option. This will get you to the BAHL photo gallery.
A big thank you to John Lee for the wonderful table and chairs in our board room. This is a great addition and really makes the room look official! If you are interested or want a few extra chairs, we have quite a few of our older chairs to give away. Please contact me before taking any chairs from the room.
